Wildfire CityPages Privacy Statement

Wildfire CityPages is committed to protecting your privacy while providing a trusted, local community platform. We collect only the minimum information needed to deliver our services and maintain a safe, authentic environment for residents of the St. Louis metro area.

- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your full name, mailing address, and email address. The mailing address is used solely for our verification process (sending a physical postcard with a unique code).
- Verification Data: The verification code and confirmation that you completed the process.
- Activity Data: Posts, replies, events you create, and basic usage data (e.g., login times, IP addresses for security).
- Cookies & Technical Data: Standard web server logs, including browser type and pages visited, to improve site performance and security.
We do **not** collect or store payment information, precise location data, or any sensitive personal details beyond what’s required for verification and participation.
How We Use Your Information
- To verify you are a real local resident and enable full participation (discussions, events, etc.).
- To display your first and last name to logged-in members (non-logged-in visitors see only “Local Resident”).
- To operate and improve the platform (e.g., moderation, bug fixes, usage analytics).
- To communicate important updates (rarely—only for critical service or security issues).
Information Sharing
We **never** sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Your name is visible only to logged-in verified members.
- Your mailing address is used only for verification and is not displayed or shared.
- We may share anonymized, aggregated data for platform improvement (e.g., “X discussions posted this month”).
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our community.
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure servers, and limited staff access.
Your Choices
- You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting support@wildfire.net.
- You control your participation. Post as much or as little as you like.
Children
Wildfire CityPages is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
